New partnership for Germany

A new partnership between ABT and the biosensor producing company BST Bio Sensor Technology GmbH has been established. BST GmbH now takes over the production and distribution of the POCT instruments and all related consumables as well.

Glukometer 3000 and LactatProfi 3000 in Argentina

ABT and BG Analizadores S.A. did agree about a new strategic partnership.
The company is located in Buenos Aires.
It is the leading distributor of diagnostic products in Argentina.
BG Analizadores will be the partner of ABT for Glukometer 3000 and LactatProfi 3000 in this country.
Both partners expect a very successful placement of the innovative technology in Argentina. Launching of Glukometer 3000 and LactatProfi 3000 is expected to be in September 2007.
Second US Patent granted

The second patent family of ABT is covering the combination of a reusable multi-way biosensor with a mobile hand-held instrument which is used in the Glukometer 3000 and LactatProfi 3000 representing the first generation of this technology. The patent is the main basis of the innovative ABT technology.
After other regions now it is granted in US. The Patent Office of US granted on March 20, 2007 patent 7,192,515.
Second EP Patent granted

The European Patent 1247092 of ABT Advanced Bioanalytical Technology GmbH has been granted on December 20, 2006. The patent covers the combination of a multi-way (reusable) biosensor with a mobile hand held instrument.
Certification of EN ISO 13485:2003 and EN ISO 9001:2000 by TÜV Rheinland

ABT has successfully finished certification of EN ISO 13485:2003 and EN ISO 9001:2000 due to "Production and distribution of bioanalytical systems and consumables as well as related services".
The certificate registration numbers of TÜV Rheinland Product Safety GmbH are SX 60016063 0001 (EN ISO 13485:2003) and SY 60016317 0001 (EN ISO 9001:2000). Both certificates are valid until 06.11.2011.

Application of ABT technology in diabetes research

In the German Institute of Human Nutrition the Glukometer 3000 has been successfully used for glucose clamp experiments. The Department of Pharmacology is using this technique to characterize the peripheric and hepatic effects of insulin during animal experiments.
Partnership between ABT and UAB ABOVITA/Lithuania

A new partnership has been arranged between ABT and the lithuanian company "UAB" ABOVITA. Abovita is located in Vilnius and is famous for distribution of medical devices in Lithuania. From now Abovita will be the partner of ABT for Glukometer 3000 and LactatProfi 3000 in this country.
Glukometer 3000 in Portugal

The company "Kmed Centro Consultoria e Farmacao Lda" located in Leiria, started to bring the Glukometer 3000 to the Portugal market. Because of the low price per sample and the high quality of the test results Kmed is very optimistic for their national market.
MEDICA 2005 - Successful Meeting Point for ABT

About 150 new interests in our technology have been met during the Medica fair this year in Düsseldorf. The ABT booth has been occupied permanently by people interested in the new technology. Preliminary discussions have been hold with about 20 new distributors for various countries and geographic areas.
Patent protection of Glukometer 3000 technology in China and Hong Kong

ABT with BEAM International Inc. for Taiwan!

ABT and BEAM International Inc. Taipei/Taiwan did agree with a long term collaboration. The aim of the International Distribution Agreement is to bring the Glukometer 3000 and the LactatProfi 3000 on the Taiwan market. Both partners expect a very successful placement of the new technology in Taiwan.

ABT is announcing a second business facility. In September 2005 we started with an active operating site in Berlin to improve business efficiency. The company facilities are close to those of BST Bio Sensor Technology GmbH, the most important partner for ABT. Thus, business becomes even more effective for all of our customers.
